V Drive Photo Page 2

Keith Wyatt's ride

The motor is a 440 BBC with 990 heads, tunnel ram, dual 660s, ultradyne solid cam, 12-1 comp., zoomies, and
twin nitrous plates to top it off. I just purchased a wing to finish off the "threatening" look. when the gearing in the casale drive and the right prop is found, I'm hopinig to hit in the 120's on oxide and around 110-115 on the
motor.

Thought you might like to see what us aussies have got in the way of boats.
My boat is a 1985   15' .5'' Stephens flat bottom boat with adjustable foot gav plate.
It is used for both skiing and herbing.
It has an aussie 308 with mainly all chev parts inside, forged flat top pistons,
roller rockers, big valves, balanced, blueprinted, 600 holley, waggott cam,11.5 to1compression,
etc, etc, etc,Motor puts out approx 300hp.
Runs a casale water cooled v-drive and a 3 bladed prop for sking and a 2 bladed for herbing.
The boat will do a genuine 75-80 mile an hour at 6300 rpm with the 2 bladed prop.
hope you can put these pics on your site.

Thanks Brenton

Sending a photo of my 1979 Dimarco drag hydro for your readers rides. When the photo was taken the boat was powered by a 468 Chevy with NOS. The previous owner had run low 8's at 127 in the quarter. I traveled from Maine to California to purchase this baby and have been in love with it ever since. Currently I'm in the process of redoing the trailer and building a 540 Bowtie Chevy for it. The 540 runs 13-1 compression with all roller v-train and Brodix heads. Tunnel ram will be back on it with
two 850's and some NOS to boot. With the install of my big motor a air shifted 2-speed Owens is also going to find it's new home. Running 40's in the box and a 11.5X17 prop. Can't wait till summer comes so I can unleash this thing!!! God bless all v-drivers!

I have attached a pic of my Sanger flatbottom; please
add it to your site along with the other v-drives.

The specs are:
1980 Sanger Bubbledeck
427 BBC
Casale V-Drive
Approx 75 MPH @ 5500 rpm

I take the boat out on the CA river delta, near Bethel
Island. It's a fantastic ski boat and a lot of fun to
drive.

Thanks for putting together a great site,

Walter Laughlin

Hey my name is Larry Bindner of Yorba Linda , CA . Here is a picture of my 1973 Hondo flatbottom named DEVILMAN . I have a 427 Chevy with 12.5:1 Ross pistons , the L-88 close chamber heads , Isky cam , and dual Holley dominators . I'm always near Red Rock or Foxes on the Parker Strip . My dad also has a flatty named BlueMoney . It's a 1977 Howard runner with a 468 Hillborn ejected Chevy . My grandpa also owned a flatbottom back in his day . So as a third generation crazy man it's nice to see these kinds of web sites.

 Sirs,

I am sending you photos of 16' 1963 Mandella that I recently finished.

I am the 4th owner of this beauty.

It was custom painted by a friend of mine.

This boat will run at 110 m.p.h.  I purchased it about 4 years ago and
decided it needed more power than the old 350ci chev could provide.

The engine is a newly built 355 ci Dart Iron Eagle Rocket block with:
     630 dyno h.p. @7000 r.p.m.
Dart Iron Eagle Heads with 230cc intake runners
     Manley 2.06 intake valves
     Manley 1.60 inconel exhaust valves
     forged 4340 Summit crank
     forged Wiesco 7.5:1 pistons
     Comp cams .600 lift camshaft
     Solid Lifters
     Manley pushrods
     MSD 6-AL-BTM ignition
     MSD distributor
     Magna-Flow fuel pump and regulator
     Crower stainless roller rockers
Jesel belt drive for the cam
     Jet-Hot coated bassett headers (dry)
Manley forged 4340 Pro I beam rods
     BDS 871 Blower (15psi boost @ 6000 rpm)
     (2) Holley HP series 4150 carbs @ 950 cfm each
Razor 4 stage dry sump oiling system
Powerglide 2 speed transmission with trans specialties shorty kit and
     manual valve body,
     Hallcraft 21% v-drive
Menkens Radiece 3 blade 11.5 in diameter 15 pitch 4130 prop.

All the hoses are Aeroquip stainless braid.

I run the boat mainly in the Willamette river near Portland Oregon.

I will send more pictures tonight if you'd like!

     Thanks!
